I have been wondering how it is that I have managed to only have some 618 spam messages and 7 in the queue right now. That is until I wrote that blog about corneal abrasions (nothing dirty about that, I think LOL) Dirty Martinis (yup there it is) and I guess including Grown Ups in that title also helped but a majority of the spam I have had since posting that blog has been in that blog.
Looking at my spam queue right now I have spam I haven’t seen before. I have spam I have seen before and have rewarded by approving of the comment. The name has changed but the message is still the same. Then there are the spam that I am not surprised to see. Spam for sites that are dirty, just plain dirty.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am an Adult and am not completely unaware of the entertainment that caters to adults only but I don’t want to be promoting sites that cater to the paparazzi’s insatiable lust for “that shot” of an actress. Nor do I want to promote sites that have ‘creampie’ and vagina as a part of their focus. Going over the nude actress spam, I do have to wonder about it, if they are using the nude actress hook to get you to their site that is about…*checks spam*…speech and language pathology?? What the Fuck?
*shrugs*
Tony Brown, I will approve your message but as for the rest, I am sorry but no. WP has a delete feature for catching these and I am thankful for that. Thank you WordPress. I am not sure if I have ever said that before but you have provided a place for me that I very much enjoy coming back to and writing when the fancy hits me. Apparently I like to write. =)
I don’t have anything too profound or deep to write about today so I will leave this post and then start on another one. I was going to write it all here but the attention span of most is limited so on to the next blog. =) Wow in looking for a category to post this blog under, I remembered The Junk Drawer and smiled at the aptness. =)

I barely get any spam. Then again, since I don’t get emailed when I get spam, I never notice it until like two weeks after it was written.
And I NEVER get email spam. That, I find weird.

LOL, have I ever told you about the SPAM e-mail I get – which seems like a porn site advert or something, but they are selling watches? Talk about “master bait-and-switch”.

As for WP SPAM, I have no clue. Perfectly innocuous blogs get a barrage of porn this, cialis that, ‘caught nude’ and the like – and yet blog entries where I actually write something in the Original Post that is dirty – never gets a SPAM comment.
Strangely *goes to check stats on his own WP* I have had 3633 (over the course of just less than 2 years) that have all been caught by Akismet. Never had one get through.
