It has been a little while and I have a good reason for not posting as much lately. I do not like the IBM computer at all. It sucks balls that have been dipped in ass. LOL
Regardless, I felt like writing and honestly I am not sure what I want to write about. I guess I can mention the news that everyone has been talking about all day. Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson passing on. May they rest in peace and I hope that their passings are not sensationalized.
I guess that is a good enough topic to talk about. Sensationalism. It has happened in the past where a very public person’s death has been sensationalized and it becomes ‘news’. The family is hounded for soundbytes and really they should be allowed to mourn in peace.
Having said that, if the family chooses to make money off of this well they will be left to their own devices and they suck if they want to make money and get publicity of of tragedy. Idiots. I am glad that I don’t have to listen to anymore crap surrounding the late Anna Nicole.
Death is one of those things that tend to bring people together and sadly when it comes to Hollywood and “Stars”, it also means that people will come out in droves to be a part of the scene. I guess when it comes to Hollywood, the scene is one of things that everyone must be a part of.
I hope the families of the departed ones are able to mourn and that these deaths are not sensationalized.

“It sucks balls that have been dipped in ass.”
I think there are a number of websites dedicated to that. LOL.
Sensationalism – I don’t like it at all. Forget the fact you have people like those in the “Reality” shows like Hills and that jungle thing – neither of which are real, btw – but Sensationalism is like the opposite of censorship. If RR’s use censorship to try to control people, sensationalism is what the Poor Leftist use.

Too late..the entire Early Show was dedicated to MJ. Sad they did a whole thing about him and no one said much about Farrah. And she was never a looney bastard like MJ was. But I guess thats why he gets all the Sensationalism and she gets a side note.

ABC did a Barbara Walters special on Farrah last night so I think that is why they did the Michael Jackson one this morning.
Michaels death is making me reminisce about my high school years when MTV was new and actually showed videos. I did enjoy his music (and music videos).
My Farrah memory is back when I was in 3rd grade and her red swimsuit poster was up in our school library. I didn’t know who she was, but I heard a couple girls talking about her hair and why her (the girl’s) Dad wouldn’t vote for Ford because he pardoned Nixon. I know an odd memory, but there you have it.

A number of websites? LOL I will take your word on that. LOL
Interesting thought, that sensationalism is the opposite of censorship. We may have to explore that a bit, some other time. =) After we work on that Procrastination piece.
Death should be a time to sit and reflect rather than hustle for money and fame. Perhaps that is the root of the societal evil that plagues our world, losing touch with reality.
It is funny but it seems that as a whole, society is spiraling downwards and with technology, well that has been expedited in some cases.

The newscasts and shows I pretty much expect, it is all the other limelight whores that bother me the most.
Tributes and such I expect but when those tributes play to the lowest common denominator, they become panderers rather than honorers.

Thanks for those memories Jules. Farrah and her hair, her smile, her voice, man I think I want to watch Cannonball Run again. =)
MJ will always be the song Billy Jean for me, or the zipper jacket. Everything else after that was just sensationalism and sadness.
May he and Farrah rest in peace.
