A week away…

I am not looking ahead that far at the moment,  My wife and I are taking each day and each week toward that magical 40th week where we will welcome our newest child into our arms, our family and our home.  As of Wednesday July 30, 2008 we ill officially be in our 34th week.  September 10th is the due date, four days after my birthday and four days before my Mom’s birthday.  =)  It will be a momentous month for sure.

Our third child, my 39th birthday within the first two weeks of September.

No what I wanted to write about today was the fact that I was pretty much a week away from my home. from my computer and my console so the internet has been missed for the past week.  I managed to get in some time earlier in the week but that was on a PC so I spent most of the week dealing with antivirus programs, firewalls and I just have to say that my resolve not to support Microsoft has been strengthened.

I have not used Internet Explorer for quite some time and this week reminded me why.  It was frustrating to say the least being able to get into MSN Messenger, a program that I grew very tired of a while back.  It has improved somewhat but I am just not a MSN Messenger user.  Well that much of a IM user at least.  I do prefer a web based IM after all and I rather like the Facebook IM that is at the bottom right hand of the screen.

So this past week saw me playing games but not the games I had wanted to.  My PSP saw some action as I progressed on a new game as well finally getting introduced to Final fantasyon the PSP.  It was the first time I ever tried a game with Final Fantasy in the title and I guess now is the time to while it is still a Playstation exclusive.  I could care less if the Final Fantasy series shows up on the Xbox 360 since we will see the former XB Exclusive, Bioshock on the PS3.  At least that is what I heard while listening to G4TechTV’s coverage of E3.

Bioshock on the PS3?!!

1UP confirms it.
IGN questions it.
Gamepro suggests it.
PS3fanboy says eventually.
Joystiq says officially it is…

Okay I will just say that yes, Bioshock is coming to the PS3.  I have yet again another thing to look forward to with my PS3.

I not only got in some PSP gaming, I also PC gamed with MSN Games, probably the only thing about Microsoft that I do like.  I played a couple of games I played before.  Poker Superstars 2, Soduko, andthis one based on Scrabble where I had to connect tiles/letters for combos and high scores.

That is probably the only thing that I might suggest I miss by not supporting MSN.  MSN Games can eat up hours like I could put away hotwings.  A lot of.  =)  I honestly didn’t start this with any theme or content really, I just wanted to write since I have been away for a week.

So how was your week?  =)

  3. My week? Uneventful, aside from last Saturday’s Burnout game, and Friday’s movie night.

However, someone who probably wishes his week was uneventful is Feralbat. He’s in ketoacidosis. He must be terrified. I am.

  4. Found your blog finally E_D. LOL.

  5. Nice to see you here Robert. =)
